Happy New Year to All!
One of the best things about a new year is - at least in theory - you can start out fresh. Forget whatever shortcomings occurred in 2012, this could be the best year ever! A huge thanks to everyone who attended the December Chef's Table; the wines were delish and the room had an awesome buzz. Justin's menu was brilliant. It was a very proud moment for all of us indeed, a perfect close to a
great year!
Our beverage partners are always impressed with the attendance and the enthusiasm of our guests at the Monday Night Chef's Tables, so much so that we get many requests for return engagements. Our first esteemed guest in January will be back for their third visit - Laetitia Vineyard & Winery. The lovely and talented Ms. Tabitha Alger will be flying out from the West Coast to walk us through a tasting of their delicious, estate-grown wines.
This Central California, 600-acre vineyard started life in 1982 when French viticulturists found ideal growing conditions in the Arroyo Grande Valley for producing wines of similar character to those of their homeland of Epernay, France. Nineteen years later, the property was acquired by Selim Zilkha, who has since developed Laetitia into the home of some of California's highest-quality, sustainably produced wines. Wine made from estate-grown fruit is distinctive because it is the product of one artistic vision from vine to glass. Please mark your calendars for Monday, January 14th and reserve a spot soon. The award-winning 2009 "Les Galets" pinot noir is not to be missed!
Make a resolution right now to treat yourself better, to eat and drink well and visit ZuZu more often. Join me in raising a glass to the balance of everything in life, and a deep respect of tradition with an unwavering eye to the future!
A Votre Santé,
