Dear Friends of ZuZu,
Autumn. What can I say. An hour before I sat down to draft this correspondence I checked the 10 day forecast; between 82-84 degrees, sunny skies…cool nights. Yes.
The Old Town Farmers Market is up and running as of October 20th, and we’re just starting to see some of the local organic vegetables appear from the September planting.
Here is a gentle reminder of some HVH happenings:
Wine Wednesdays. It’s free. One of our beverage suppliers will pour samples of the week’s featured wines in hopes you will fall in love with one and purchase a bottle to enjoy with your friend(s) on the patio, preferably with a plate of something delectable from ZuZu’s kitchen. 5 to 7pm.
Saturday nights we have live music beginning at 7pm and plenty of featured drinks created by our team of talented mixologists, priced equally as attractive.
Cupcake aficionados from near and afar will converge on the
Valley Ho this Veteran’s Day, Sunday November 11th for the 3rd annual “Cupcake Love-In”. It’s a day to celebrate the beloved and timeless cupcake, recognize the Valley’s sublimely creative bakers and pastry chefs and bring the community together to do good and make a difference for a local charity. This year’s beneficiary is
Project H3 VETS, a local non-profit organization that addresses homelessness of our veteran community. Scroll down to learn more about Cupcake Love-In and Project H3 VETS.
Arrowood Vineyards will join us for our Monday Night Chef’s Table on November 12th. Richard Arrowood gained an iconic
winemaking reputation as the first winemaker of Chateau St Jean, producing some of the first single vineyard wines from California. Richard and his wife and partner, Alis Demers Arrowood crushed their first grapes during the harvest of 1987 and released their first wines in 1988. Richard's philosophy was simple: produce classic varietal wines with grapes grown exclusively in Sonoma County's diverse climates, with as little intervention as possible. I do hope you’ll consider attending; we’ve even secured some of their
beautiful Late Harvest Riesling for dessert!
If you have not made ZuZu part of your Thanksgiving tradition yet, I hope this will be the year. We are serving our regular dinner menu from noon to 9 pm, along with our slow-roasted, all-natural Red Bird Farms Turkey, Country Gravy, Cornbread Sage stuffing, Roasted Yukon Gold Mashed Potatoes, Cranberry Ginger Relish and of course, our fabulous pies and desserts.
There you go. May your holiday season be filled with all forms of delightfulness; friends, family, laughter and delicious food!
All the Best,
Chuck |
